The Green Book was a travel guide created for Black Americans during the era of segregation in the United States. Its full name was The Negro Motorist Green Book. It was first published in 1936 by Victor Hugo Green, a Black postal worker from New York. Green Book is one of my favorite movies because it tells an interesting story about friendship and respect. I liked how Don Shirley and Tony Lip start off very different but become closer during their trip. The movie also taught me about the real The Green Book and how important it was during segregation. I enjoyed the funny moments and the serious parts because they made the movie more meaningful. This movie is one of my favorites because it has a good message and keeps the story interesting the whole time.
